So you've invited cracked players onto your Minecraft server, nice! But hold on a sec… do you know what that means?! Since these players don't have officially purchased Minecraft, they can log on with any username, even yours. Just imagine waking up one day, hopping on your server, and… Boom! Someone logged in as you griefed your base, messed with your builds, and blew everything up. That's where AuthMeReloaded hops in! It adds a password protection, making sure only the real players can log on and play. It's a one-stop solution for griefing, name-stealing, and chaos. In this guide, we’ll walk you through setting up AuthMeReloaded the right way so your server stays safe & secure.

What is AuthMeReloaded

AuthmeReloaded is a plugin that offers a lot of features increasing your server's security, such as an email recovery system, a country blacklist/whitelist, a built-in antibot system, 2FA support, and much more. This plugin is all you need to strengthen your server's security and avoid any unauthorized access and username spoofing. This plugin ensures that players who aren't authenticated can do actions like placing blocks, moving, typing commands, or using the inventory. It can also kick players with unusually long or short player names or block players from banned countries.

Installing AuthMeReloaded

In order to install AuthMeReloaded on your Minecraft server, head towards its SpigotMC resource page and download it. Further, follow the steps below in order to install it on your server.

1. Log in to your MCServerHost dashboard, and stop the server to avoid any errors or file corruptions during the installation.

2. Navigate to the File Manager, and upload the downloaded AuthMeReloaded‘.jar’ file into the plugins folder.

3. Now that you have followed all the steps, start your server. AuthMeReloaded will now function as a protective shield for your server preventing unauthorized access and keeping your server secured.

Configuring AuthMeReloaded

After successfully installing AuthMeReloaded, it will immediately start working on your server without requiring any configuration. However, to enable extra features like email recovery, country blacklisting/whitelisting, a built-in antibot system, 2FA support, and much more, head to its configuration file in the 'plugins' folder and make changes accordingly. For detailed configuration options, refer to — https://github.com/AuthMe/AuthMeReloaded/blob/master/docs/config.md.

Conclusion

And that's it! Now that AuthMeReloaded is installed, your server is secure and safe from username spoofing, bots, and unauthorized access. You no longer need to worry about random players logging in as you and causing havoc! While the default config is okay, tweaking the config file allows you to unlock even stronger security features. So go ahead and have some fun checking out and setting it up according to your server's requirements.
